Facebook Spotify Music Service Rumored

Don't Miss: This How to find Fingerlings in Stock

Forbes reports that Facebook partnered with Spotify for streaming music service to launch in as little as two weeks

Facebook jumps into the online music business with a surprise move? Forbes has a report that Facebook and Spotify are partnering say sources close to the deal. Facebook users will see a Spotify icon icon next to their newsfeed. When users click it the Spotify desktop app is installed. The service would include a function to listen to the same music simultaneously with friends.

The Facebook Spotify service would not be available in the United States as long as Spotify is not able to close licensing deals with labels. The Spotify Facebook deal would be without any cash changing hands.

I have several doubts about this story. If Facebook is serious about online music they need to buy Spotify. Additionally it does not make sense for Facebook to partner with a service that does not work in the United States. Let's see how this rumor plays out.
