OS X Lion Release is Friday or Next Week say new Rumors

Apple might not release OS X Lion today.

So far most OS X Lion rumors pointed to a release today, July 14. As we wait if Apple is indeed going to release OS X Lion on the App Store today some reports appear that suggest that the OS X Lion release is not going to happen today.

MIC Gadgets reporting from China reports that the visual teams at the Apple Flagship store in Pudong are preparing the store for the OS X Lion launch in the coming night. Means the OS X Lion release is on Friday, July 15.

LoopInsight's Jim Dalrymple tweeted: "I hope you guys don't lose too much sleep waiting for the new Macs and Lion tomorrow :)." Usually Jim Dalrymple has the true insights into Apple. Dalrymple does not give a new date for the OS X Lion release though.

Lastly, according to MacRumors, Arstechnica's John Siracusa said in his podcast that he heard that Lion is not coming this week.

There is not yet overwhelming evidence that OS X Lion is not launching today, but you should consider the possibility that we will have to wait longer for OS X Lion and the new hardware releases (MacBook Air, MacBook and Mac mini).
