The wait is soon over. OS X Lion will be released today as download on the App Store for $29.99. At what time the OS X Lion update will be available for purchase has not been revealed. One rumored time we saw was 8:30am EST.

Apple is also going to make the OS X Lion update available at Apple Stores as it seems. 9to5Mac reports that Apple Stores received a special Mac Pro for in-store downloads of OS X Lion.

OS X Lion is bringing 250 new features. OS X Lion will be available as a download from the Mac App Store for $29.99. Some of the features in Lion include: new Multi-Touch gestures; system-wide support for full screen apps; Mission Control, a view of everything running on your Mac; the Mac App Store, the best place to find and explore great software, built right into the OS; Launchpad, a new home for all your apps; and a completely redesigned Mail app.
