Don't Miss: This How to find Fingerlings in Stock

The discovery of fake Apple Stores in China got global attention. Now the customers in Kunming also know about being duped.

A couple days ago a blog post by an American living in China about fake Apple Stores in a Chinese town in Kunming got global attention. Everybody was talking about it in amazement of the elaborate setup. Even the employees believe to be working for Apple. According to Reuters the customers of the fake Apple Stores now also found out that they did not shop at a genuine Apple Store. Apparently some of them have not received a receipt for their purchases.

The Apple products at least are real, but questions about warranty are still unanswered. Apple has not said anything yet about this story. I am sure they got word about it already and think about how to handle this. They need to protect their stores, but it is difficult to enforce that across all regions of China.
