4G, Touch-Screen and HD Video for $29.99 - The New Impulse 4G

AT&T announces a bargain Android Phone today with the Impulse 4G. Beginning September 18, the Impulse 4G will be available for $29.99 with a two-year contract. The Impulse 4G is made by Huawei. The company already made a name for itself with low-cost Android smartphones.

Running the Android 2.2 platform and sporting HD video recording, a full touch screen and 5MP camera, Impulse 4G meets mobile needs and can be paired with a Data Plus plan, with 200MB of data for just $15 dollars.

Impulse 4G Highlights:

  • 3.8” Capacitive WVGA Touchscreen
  • Operating System: Android 2.2
  • 5MP Camera with auto-focus, flash, and 720p HD video record
  • Wi-Fi with access to AT&T’s Hotspots
  • GPS Navigation

The announcement of the Impulse 4G is in stark contrast to Verizon's Bionic unveiling. The Bionic is 10x more expensive on contract. Just a reminder. AT&T refers in this context with 4G to HSPA+. Verizon's Bionic is an LTE 4G device.
