iPhone 4S Pre-Order Madness has Begun

Carriers in US, Germany, UK, France, Japan, Canada and Australia started to take pre-orders. Online stores and customer sales phone lines are already overloaded.

The iPhone 4S pre-order process started officially at 12:01am. The Apple Store got off to a late start about 30 minutes later. The Apple Store is already under heavy load. The first few pages selecting color, storage and carrier are still loading fast, but pages further down the process start to take long to load.

In Germany, the German Telekom site is basically unusable at that point. Calling to order the iPhone 4S over the phone is also not working. I got kicked out every time I tried. I also wonder if this whole iPhone 4S pre-ordering weeks ago is helping now in anyway. I only got an SMS yesterday that said to pre-order today. Well, I would like to, but I cannot get through.

Good luck to you all to score an iPhone 4S pre-order today. Post your experience pre-ordering the new iPhone 4S below.

More details and all the links to order the iPhone 4S in the US from the Apple Store, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint can be found in this iPhone 4S pre-order Guide.

The Sprint online page has already given up. Message says that iPhone 4S pre-order is temporarily not available. Call at 7am.
