Court puts a temporary sales ban on the Galaxy Tab in Australia.

Apple lost Steve Jobs last week, but he is still winning law suits for the company. A court in Australia is banning the sale of the Samsung Galaxy Tab because of two Apple patents. One of the patents about touchscreen heuristics has Steve Jobs listed as first inventor. This patent is not just dangerous for the Galaxy Tab, but for all Android touchscreen devices points out patent expert Florian Mueller.

There is also a hearing in California today about an US-wide injunction against Samsung smartphones and the Galaxy Tab 10.1. If Apple starts to win against Samsung in the United States it will start to really hurt Samsung in terms of sales.

If you are ready to dive into the inner workings of the patent dispute between Apple and Samsung read Florian Mueller's Foss Patent blog.
