Last year the Black Friday sales season has already started on Friday, October 29.

I was wrong. A month ago I predicted that the first Black Friday 2011 sales would start on October 28. That was yesterday and nothing happened. Last year Amazon held their first Black Friday Countdown Sale on Friday October 29. This year nothing happened. Additionally no retailer has announced a Pre-Black Friday sale for the weekend. Kmart is coming closest with launching their first Kmart Holiday Sales on Sunday.

So what does this mean? It looks like retailers try to condense the Black Friday sales season this year a bit. I expect though that on Tuesday November 1st the first Black Friday 2011 sale will launch. I am pretty sure that NewEgg will call out the Black November Sales again this year. Come Friday there will be already tons of retailers offering the first wave of Black Friday 2011 deals.

The early Black Friday 2011 Sales have launched. November 1st marks the date of the start of major Black Friday sales for the whole month from Amazon and NewEgg.

The actual Black Friday 2011 is this year on November 25. Our new Black Friday Countdown Clock says that is 26 days from today.

We will again provide you with complete coverage of Black Friday including buying guides, deal analyses, Black Friday Ads and more in our Black Friday Hub. New this year is our new site Black Friday Countdown. Black Friday Countdown counts down to Black Friday 2011 with exclusive predictions, rumors, deals, news and ads. We also have one more thing coming for Black Friday that will make your Black Friday shopping much easier and more efficient. We will launch this new Black Friday shopping service very soon!
