Intel offers cheap insurance for enthusiasts
Intel has rolled out a new insurance plan and I think it's one of the coolest things that the chipmaker has ever done. It used to be that overclockers were on their own in the event of damage. Intel was keen to leave the multipliers unlocked on some parts, but if you damaged it too bad.
Intel is now offering up a new insurance plan that is cheap and will replace your processor if you break it. The Performance Tuning Plan will cover your processor for failure while overclocking. If your processor goes out you will get a free replacement.
The policy is no questions asked for overclocking. I would assume that means shorting the CPU out from too much power or leaking coolant on the processor and breaking it. You can get more details here and the insurance ranges for $20 to $35 depending on the processor.
