Brand pages may be what Timeline was made for

We are amongst friends here so we can all be honest; Timeline for the average Facebook user really sucks. I have friends that I have known for years on Facebook and the ones with Timeline rather than the old profile, I find it incredibly difficult to navigate their new Timeline site. Some executives claiming to be briefed on Facebook plans are now saying the Timeline for Brands is set to roll out this month.

Timeline may actually find its place with brands; I can see this being successful for both the brand and the consumer. On the consumer side, the vast majority of Facebook users just don't want Timeline. With brands, Timeline will look exactly like it does in the consumer space but they will be very similar. Timeline for Brands will see the tabs and apps on brand pages now become boxes on the Timeline page.

According to some reports, Timeline for Brands will have the ability to set an event very far in the past for things like the company founding. That would mean the Coca-Cola could have an event for the founding the company way back in 1892. They can also hypothetically have an event for the massive fail that was the change in formula back in the 80s. I'm actually rather intrigued by Timeline for Brands.
