New Dock Connector coming to iPhone, iPad and iPod

A new micro dock connector is supposed to be in the works at Apple.

Your current Apple docks might not work anymore with the next generation of iPhones, iPads and iPods. iMore reports that they heard that Apple is getting ready to replace the 30-pin dock connector with something smaller.

The new micro Apple Dock connector will likely debut in the iPhone 5 in Fall. A smaller dock connector would allow Apple to use the space for other components like 4G radios and larger battery.

The upcoming iPad 3 is likely still having the current 30-pin dock connector Apple is using since 10 years now.
