New iPad has 756 score on Geekbench. This is only slightly more than the iPad Geekbench score of 750.

The new iPad CPU performance is about the same as the current iPad 2 offers. The big difference is in the graphics performance. Vietnamese Tinhte as gotten their hands on a retail 3rd generation iPad and published now Geekbench Benchmark performance data after the uploaded a New iPad Unboxing Video.

The Geekbench test confirms that the new iPad has 1GB RAM and 1GHz CPU clock speed. Geekbench does not take into account the graphics performance and therefore this benchmark test puts the iPad 3 only at the same performance level as the iPad 2.
