Reports of first new iPad owners say that the new iPad can get very hot.

The new iPad is in customer hands since Friday. The only broader issue that the first users are reporting on message boards are heat related. Apparently some new iPads get so hot in the back that they are uncomfortably to hold. Some reports even say that the iPad goes in cool down mode.

As CNET reports, heat issues have also been reported on the original iPad and the iPad 2. It does not seem to be a wide spread issue. Either some units are defect or Apple has to issue a software update.
