Zynga buys Draw Something Maker OMGPOP

Zynga is acts quick and takes out uprising Facebook gaming competition by buying them.

As reported last week, Draw Something developed by OMGPOP is a huge success. Today the Facebook gaming king Zynga announced that the company bought OMGPOP. Zynga has not announced the price. TechCrunch reports that their sources say that Zynga paid $180 million plus a $30 million earnout.

Zynga is smart to use their cash to buy multi-player gaming companies that have the potential to out run them. OMGPOP had this in them with their new hit game Draw Something. OMGPOP is in business since 2006. Maybe the founders had enough and just wanted to cash out now.
