The first of New York's new taxis arrives

The only time I've ever written in a taxi is to and from the airport when I travel. In New York City, many people ride in taxis every day. New York City is set to replace all the taxis with the new Nissan NV 200 and the prototype taxi has landed in the Big Apple.

The taxi has a special interior that has antibacterial properties to cut down on stink. It also has a big skylight so people can see out the top of the car look at the skyscrapers. Other features include sliding doors that open wide and ports in the back seat for charging passengers gadgets as they ride. The new Nissan is expected to be phased into the fleet of New York taxis starting in October of 2013.
