Developers getting paid!

According to some developers, it can cost as much as $600,000 to develop an app for a mobile operating system depending on how complex the app is. The development cost for mobile apps today is the reason why most developers stick to the major operating systems like Android and iOS.

Rather than simply begging major developers to write apps for Windows Phone, Microsoft is said to be paying some developers to bring their apps to the platform. Microsoft has confirmed certain incentives for some developers, but has not confirmed paying for the development of some maps. However, officials from Foursquare say that if Microsoft hadn't paid for the development of its app for Windows Phone, it probably would've never supported the platform.
