Nokia posts $1.76 Billion Loss for Q1 2012

The new Nokia Lumia line has not yet turned things around for Nokia. I still see years of struggling ahead.

Nokia published the financials for Q1 2012 today. Nokia had a $1.76 billion operating loss. The net sales were $9.7 billion, which is 30% less than the same time a year ago.

Despite reports of the Lumia 900 selling out, Stephen Elop said that sales of the Lumia line are mixed. Nokia needs to hope that Windows 8 Mobile OS will make Windows Phones competitive with Android phones and Apple iPhone so they can get back on their feet.
