Tesla has 10,000 orders in hand for the Model S

Some good news is making the rounds for fans of the Tesla Model S electric vehicle. According to the rumors making the rounds the car may launch in about a month, which would be right at 30 days before expected. The rumor says that Tesla is completing crash testing early and will be up to start production before expected.

Another interesting tidbit has also surfaced claiming that in the two-cycle EPA testing methodology involving 55% city driving and 45% power driving the Model S achieved a longer driving distance that originally expected. The car was able to go 320 miles on a single charge rather than the expected 300 miles.
