Entry level tablet starts on the cheap

Wacom has a new USB drawing pad for your desktop computer or notebook aimed at people just getting into PC drawing. The pad is called the Bamboo Splash and it sells for $79. The pad connects to your computer via USB and has an active area measuring 5.8-inches by 3.6-inches.

The pad allows you to replicate pencils, chalks, oils, and watercolors as you move the Bamboo pen across the active surface of the pad. The tablet is compatible with Windows back to XP and works with Mac OS X 10.5 and up. The tablet will work for right or left hand users and has 1024 different pressure levels.
