New connector means you'll need new accessories

TechCrunch reports that it has confirmed that the new iPhone will have 19-pin mini connector in place of the current 30-pin charge and sync connector we are all familiar with. That means you will not be able to use the same chargers or accessories that require a dock that you may already have around your home. This should be a massive payday for Apple and other accessory makers as iPhone users are forced to buy new docking stations and chargers.

There is some indication that the charger for the new iPhone will be more like that the Mac notebooks use with the magnet release. Apparently, the new docking connector was confirmed by three independent manufacturers.
