165 TB of new images added

Bing Maps has announced that it has massively increased its aerial and satellite photography database. Previously there was 129 TB of total aerial data in the Bing Maps database. The recent update added another 165 TB of imagery to the mix.

With the new imagery update, Bing Maps now has 100% aerial coverage of the United States. Full coverage of Europe will come later this fall. All of the new imagery photos are high-resolution NADIR or straight down orthophotos taken by satellite or aircraft.
