Stephen Hawking lost $100 Bet on Higgs Boson Discovery

Watch Stephen Hawking comment on the Higgs Boson discovery. He bet with another scientist that it won't be found. He lost $100.

Yesterday the CERN announced that they found Higgs Boson particle (God Particle). They are still holding back on a 100% confirmation. It is for sure though a new particle. If it matches really all criteria to be a Higgs Boson remains to be seen. The BBC's Pallab Ghosh interviewed super famous paralyzed scientist Stephen Hawking about the Higgs boson discovery. After suggesting that Professor Higgs should receive the Nobel Prize, he ends the interview with a funny anecdote about him betting against the discovery - he lost $100.
