The Tragic Tale of the Sale of Kidney for iPad and iPhone is in Court in China

In 2011 a student in China sold one of his kidneys to be able to buy an iPad and iPhone.

Last year the news of a teenager selling a kidney to be able to own an Apple iPad and iPhone made big waves. Now the organ deal is in court in China reports CNN. Officials have charged 9 people involved with the organ sale.

The student identified as Wang has suffered renal failure since the kidney removal. His lawyer is requesting compensation of 2.27 million yuan (~$357,000).
