Play Steam games on your TV in the living room with new beta feature

If you like to play a lot of video games via Steam on your computer and like the idea of playing them on a larger screen in the living room, you want to get in on a beta it starts next month. According to Valve designer Greg Coomer, the beta for a feature called Steam Big Picture will arrive sometime next month.

The beta will test a service that enlarges the graphics for viewing on a big screen in the living room. You will still need a computer to play games via Steam. "In early September you'll be able to hop into a beta, click a button, and see Steam reformatted for your TV and usable with a PC game controller, or a mouse and keyboard if you wanna play that way," explained Coomer.
