Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. announced the world's first human vein pattern recognition system.
Apparently the vein pattern in human hands are unique and do not change over the life-time.
The touch-less recognition system uses infra-red to scan the vein pattern in a persons hand. Software compares the pattern to a stored reference. The system reaches 99% accuracy in a study performed on 700 people.
