Sony announced the PCGA-UTV10 Device, available in June in Japan.

The PCGA-UTV10 is a TV-Tuner and MPEG2 Decoder in one cool pyramid shaped device. The gadget connects via USB 2.0 to a Computer, preferable VIAO Notebooks of course. The Device enables direct encoding of TV and video signal into MPEG2. The TV or Video Signal can be viewed on the Computer via the bundled player Sony Giga Pocket.
With an iLink connected DVD drive, it is also possible to directly write DVDs with the incoming video signal.
The PCGA-UTV10 also features a Remote Control to switch channels and manage the recording.
