Samsung Rumored To Also Supply Apple With S-PVA IPad Displays

Apple is using for the iPad S-PVA displays. S-PVA stands for Super Patterned Vertical Alignment. According to Wikipedia S-PVA panels all use at least 8 bits per color component and do not use color simulation methods. S-PVA also largely eliminated off angle glowing of solid blacks and reduced the off angle gamma shift. Additionally SPVA LCD displays offer up to 3,000:1 contrast ratio.

Digitimes reports that their sources claim that Samsung will also supply Apple with S-PVA displays for the iPad. Currently LG is currently the Apple iPad display panel provider.
