Art Samaniego from the Manila Bulletin had a chance to take a look at the Samsung E700 Camera Phone. In the US the E715 is available.

The SGH-E700 is a dual-band GSM camera phone from Samsung. It features a clamshell design and equipped with a dual screen; the internal display has a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels and capable of displaying up to 65,536 colors and the external 96 x 64 pixel screen can display up to 256 colors.
The phone boasts of its integrated digital camera with 5x digital zoom, it uses an advanced camera technology that allows you to take pictures at night even without a flash. This technology detects an object’s brightness and sets the best exposure to create clear pictures. I tried this feature inside a room with a very poor light conditions and I was surprised by the quality of the photos taken by this phone.
Another feature that makes the SGH-E700 standout from other camera phones is its ability to take multiple shots up to 9 frames per click using a normal speed mode and up to 15 frames in a high-speed mode, a function that can capture even the slightest movement of your subject. You can also take self portraits without even opening the phone, all you need to do is press the camera button on the right side of the phone. Point it at yourself and let the 256 color OLED give you self portraits. There is also a timer function that makes taking a self portrait even easier.
With 9MB of internal memory the SGH-E700 can store up to 1000 photos. The maximum resolution of photos this phone can take is 640 x 480 pixels.
Other features of the SGH-E700 included GPRS, WAP, MMS, 40 bit polyphonic ringtone, IR port, Alarm clock, currency converter, photo editor, animated screensaver, wallpaper and games. Like any other Samsung phones the E700 also lacks bluetooth for connectivity.
The SGH-E700 is one of the sleekest phones available in the market. Measuring in at 90 x 45 x 23 mm when closed, it is one of Samsung's smallest phones, and also among the lightest weighing just 86 g.

Overall, the SGH-E700 is a phone worth trying. It is a phone rich in features and functions that will appeal to all ages.
