The bestselling Canon Digital SLR Camera.
SLR Digital Cameras are now everywhere and start to penetrate the amateur market. So what is SLR ?
SLR stands for single lens reflex. It is called a single lens reflex camera because the subject is seen indirectly through the lens. Unlike the view camera, where the subject is seen directly through the lens. The SLR has a mirror and a pentaprism. The image enters through the lens and then reflects off of the mirror and into the pentaprism and, finally through the viewfinder lens. From a technical view point, the biggest advantage to using a SLR camera is that what you see is what you get. Another feature is that SLR cameras can have a depth of field preview button. This feature shows what will be in focus and what will be blurred within the scene. Also SLR cameras come with a lot of options, interchangeable lenses etc, which also means the cost is higher.
