Toshiba Wide Screen LCD TV Toshiba announces plans for SED big screen flat panel TV.

SED stands for surface-conduction electron-emitter display. The new 50" SED flat Panel TV should hit markets in 2005. Toshiba collaborated with Canon on this new technology. Canon is working on SED since the 80s. SED based panels use half the energy of a Plasma TV Panel and are cheaper to manufacture.
