As reported earlier Samsung has already sold 270,000 3D TVs world-wide. The Korea Times reports about rumors that Sony is having supply issues for 3D LCD panels.
Sony has a partnership with Samsung for panels and also with Sharp. The article does not have any details why Sony would not be able to get enough panels to get their 3D TV sales of the ground.
Korea is dominating the panel industry with the electronics giants LG and Samsung. Sony could get under the wheels here.
The first Sony 3D TVs are slated for a June release.
