Sony makes step closer to Blu-Ray Disc Mass Production

Sony has developed a technology for the mass production of read-only Blu-ray discs.

Sony has developed a machine that can produce about one disc every five seconds. Currently, DVDs can be produced at a rate of about one every three to four seconds.
