Motorola made massive announcements under the banner "seamless mobility" today including the Wi-fi enabled CN620 clamshell mobile phone.
Gizmodo reported about FCC approvals of that motorola phone a couple of weeks ago, now its officially announced.
The Motorola CN620 is the world’s first integrated dual network (802.11 and cellular) for both voice and data communications.
With the CN620, users can seamlessly move from the wireless network onto the cellular network without interruption. Motorola’s Wireless Services Manager (WSM) facilitates the seamless hand-off between WLAN and cellular networks, providing contiguous communication. The CN620 is aimed at the corporate world. Currently three enterprises are trialing the CN620. Commercial availability is later this year.
Motorola also made announcements about the Motorola MPx220, the Motorola V551 and the Motorola A780. See also Apple Motorola Music player collaboration.
