Apple has invited to a surprise iPhone 4 press event this coming Friday. Apple of course did not detail what they will talk about, but most likely they will address the controversy around the antenna issue.
In the meantime some iPhone 4 owners report that they got a replacement unit that does not show the antenna reception problem.

Gizmodo seems the only place that has these iPhone owner reports.
The reports are anecdotal and it is hard to say that a silent recall of iPhone 4 handsets is underway. It also questionable what Apple could have changed on the internal hardware that will fix the issue. The users do not report about changes in the outside design of the iPhone 4.
Let's see how this develops today and in the hours until the Apple iPhone press conference tomorrow at 10am PCT.
