Sprint's next 4G phone, the Samsung Epic, could launch as early as next month. Android Police reports that the new phone has shown up on a Samsung schedule. Based on prior releases, it is believed that the Epic's launch date will be at or around August 20th.

The Epic sports a 4" Super AMOLED display, 1 GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor. It packs a 5 MP camera/camcorder with auto-focus. It has WiFi b/g/n, a 1500 mAH battery, front-facing camera, and a 6-axis accelerometer. Odds are we'll see Android 2.2 loaded on it at launch.
