We reported about the start-up Akimbo first time in August. The Akimbo box and service lets users download movies from the Internet, basically movies ondemand via internet movie download services like CinemaNow. The Akimbo Box is now available on for $229.99. The service costs $9.95 per month.

FirstAdopter has published an interview with one of the founders of Akimbo, Steve Shannon.
