Rumors about the new 2010 iPod touch have intensified over the last days. Now a Brazilian Apple blog (via MacRumors) claims to have received reliable information that Apple is planning an iPod launch event already mid-August.
Apple has traditionally an iPod and music related media event in September. I could imagine that Apple is trying to do a release of the new iPod touch earlier this year to maximize the sales period until year-end. Additionally the new iPod touch is rumored to have FaceTime video support, which Apple currently hypes for the iPhone. The new iPod touch 4 could nicely tie into that.
