NEC provides eDRAM for Microsoft Xbox 360

NEC officially announced that it will supply embedded DRAM memory chips for the next generation Microsoft Xbox 360.

The NEC eDRAMs are supposed to integrate with the ATI provided graphics processors in the Xbox 360. Besides ATI and NEC, IBM is supplying Power series chips for the Xbox 360.

The Xbox 360 is going to be revealed on MTV on May 12th. The Xbox 360 photo above is supposed for real. We will see.
