Looks like Sony picked up on the Nintendo DS two screen idea. The Sony PS3 has two HDMI ports supporting two HDTV video channels.

At first I was not sure what Sony intended with those two video channels. My first thought was support for Virtual Reality glasses, but Sony did not mention this in their press-conference. The two HDMI ports are intended to have either a panorama view of the game by placing two HDTVs next to each other. The other application is to have one screen show other information, like game statistics, chat or video conferencing. To fully experience what the Sony PS3 can do, gamers need two have HDTVs - best of course to use Sony HDTVs.
