Samsung will ship the world's first notebooks with embedded MIMO-enhanced Wi-Fi technology based on Airgo's True MIMO chipset.

The new Samsung X20 notebooks will offer MIMO-enhanced wireless performance while maintaining complete interoperability with the millions of 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11a/g devices.
MIMO refers to Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology. MIMO has been adopted as the foundation for defining the new IEEE 802.11n standard for next generation Wi-Fi.

Airgos true MIMO takes advantage of multipath, and transmits multiple signals in a single 20MHz radio channel. These two advances lead to a multiplying effect in both data rates and reliable coverage area without using any additional spectrum. True MIMO refers to the specific form of MIMO based on spatial multiplexing as defined by all major proposals for the next generation 802.11n standard.
More details in this press-release. See also the Airgo site and the Samsung X20 product page.
