New Developments in Sony PSP UMD Hacking

A video of a Hello, World test application running on a Sony PSP with new Firmware 1.5 has appeared on the web.

If this is no fake, it could mean that UMD game hacking might work after all. We featured a report from Tom's Hardware that said UMD hacking is probably not feasible. Tom's Hardware has now a follow-up article (Thanks Yizhi S.) triggered by the new developments. The new report points out also the economical downsides of running hacked UMD disc, if it ever becomes possible.
