eHomeUpgrade reports about new Samsung Home Theater packages that have an USB interface to connect external hard-drives to play back media.

"If you're thinking about purchasing a powerful all-in-one home theater system, you might want to checkout Samsung's new HT-UP30 (MSRP $369) and HT-TP33 (MSRP $495) models, which the company claims to be the world's first to feature a USB plug and play port (via AME Info). The port, in essence, allows users to connect an external USB storage device and playback its media files through the home theater system. So not only can one tune into AM/FM radio, playback music CDs and DVDs, users can also listen to their stored MP3, WMA files, watch DivX, WMV files, and view JPEG images as well."
