I remember hearing about a Japanese Concorde years ago. This week news appeared that they Japanese supersonic passenger plane development is still going on.

The Japanese Space Agency JAXA is planning a test in Australia of a unmanned model of the new supersonic plane. The test plane is supposed to reach MACH 2. The test should give insight into the aerodynamic performance of the design.
