Steelpad 5L - A Really Big Mouse Pad

Soft Trading sent us their Steelpad 5L mouse pad for review. Reviewing a mouse pad is not really a big deal. Still, a high quality mouse pad makes all the difference for working or gaming on a computer. The Steelpad 5L looked promising so I decided to take a closer look.

The Steelpad 5L measures a whopping 380x280mm. It features five layers of material. The top layer is plastic coating on a cloth material. Inner layers provide a bit of softness combined with stability. The bottom layer looks like modern art but its just there to keep the mouse pad in place. The material combination definitely works and the pad feels good and provides a solid work area. Actually my wife who is a graphics designer immediately snagged the pad and threw away her standard mouse pad. It was not the cool blue print that convinced her, it was the size that she thinks adds another bit of ergonomics to work with the mouse in Photoshop and other graphics applications. This means the Soft Trading Steelpad 5L is not just for gamers.

Tiger Direct sells the Steelpad 5L for $34.99.
