The Mitsubishi Jet Towel, a high-speed air hand dryer, goes on sale nationwide today. Available and ubiquitous in Japan for almost a decade, the Jet Towel removes water from the front and back of freshly-washed hands in about 5 to 6 seconds.

Ideal for commercial applications, eliminating paper towels can save businesses lots of dollars per year and benefit the environment by reducing trash waste and lowering overall energy consumption.

A U-shaped drying port at the top of the unit with front and rear horizontal air jets forces water from the front and back of both hands simultaneously. As hands are slowly pulled out of the top of the unit, water is quickly and efficiently blown away. PACARC LLC, a Seattle-based distribution company, distributes the product in the U.S.

Additional information is available at the Mitsubishi Jet Towel Website and press release.
