Bridgestone (yes, the tire company) recently announced its QR-LPD electronic paper. With a dual-color display and measuring in at a slim 1/4 millimeter thick, it is dubbed the world's thinnest sheet of electronic paper for its particular specifications.
These so-called "e-paper" creations are not entirely new, but it is always cool to see a new entry into this rapidly growing new area of technology. The e-paper sector is one of the coolest and most attractive areas in the future of technology. I truly see this as the next big step forward. I am looking forward to the day when my local newspaper is created entirely out of e-paper.
