Microsoft delays the launch of Office 2007 until year end.
The Microsoft Office 2007 launch was scheduled to begin in October for businesses. Now Microsoft plans to start that end of 2006. For consumers the Office 2007 marketing push is moving from January 2007 to a vague early 2007. MS wants to fix performance issues based on feedback of beta 2 testers.
The Office 2007 delay could also mean another delay for Windows Vista. In the meantime the Internet Explorer 7 got a new beta release yesterday. I used beta 2 already for a while. The new beta 3 feels instantly better performing and more stable. I am more and more getting into tabbed browsing. It took a while to change my behavior of having 30 browser windows open to one or two browsers with tabs.
