Apple Recalls 1.8 Million Batteries (Update)
 
 

Some already predicted that this will happen. Apple also announces now a major recall of notebook batteries as Dell did a week ago.

The WSJ (subscription) reports that Apple will recall 1.1 million notebook batteries in the United States and 700,000 abroad.

The recall only affects batteries of Apple iBook G4 and PowerBook G4 models that were purchased between October 2003 and August 2006.
Here is the How-To guide on the Apple site to find out if your battery needs to be recalled.If Sony produced the batteries, there is battery recall from Sony bound to happen.
