Everybody and his uncle announced an Intel Core 2 Duo notebook yesterday and today.
Intel says more than 200 Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology-based designs from PC manufacturers, resellers and integrators around the world will incorporate the new Intel Core 2 Duo processor (formerly codenamed "Merom") this year.
Samsung introduced the Q35 and R55, Dell enhances their T5000 and T7000 notebook line with Core 2 Duo processor so does LG and Alienware to name a view.
Laptop Magazine published a performance review of the Intel Core 2 Duo to see if the new CPU is any good. They compared a notebook with a 2.16-GHz Core Duo T2600 CPU with a new 2.16-GHz Core 2 Duo T7400. The Core 2 Duo was about 20% faster than the Core Duo.
