Nokia updates the Nokia 5500 Sport with music features and calls it Nokia 5500 Sport Music Edition.
The new Nokia 5500 Sport Music Edition comes bundled with a 512MB microSD card. It is now a Nokia XpressMusic phone and comes with the Nokia Music Manager.
Not sure why Nokia makes such a big deal about this. Maybe the first generation did not sell that well, so they push it again. Nokia has setup a micro-site promoting the new version, which is supposed to launch later today.Nokia introduced the original 5500 Sport in May 2006. The new Nokia 5500 Sport Music Edition (GSM 900/1800/1900) is now available in select shops around Europe. The expected retail price before taxes and subsidies is approximately 350 EUR (~$444).
More details in this press-release. See also the recently announced 5200 and 5300.
